Kneader-Extruders are used across the globe for extremely viscous applications exceeding 10 million cP. ROSS represents the finest German technology in partnership with AMK Kneader-Extruders and provides mixing solutions for customers in the adhesive, food, rubber and chemical industries. The original ROSS/AMK Kneader-Extruder combines the efficiency of a double-arm mixer with the convenience of an extrusion screw for compounding and interchangeable dies for discharging viscous applications in the desired profile.
Two sigma-type blades operate together in a horizontal trough and rotate at differential speeds, thereby tearing rugged materials with intense shear. During the mix cycle, the extrusion screw continuously moves materials within reach of the mixing blades, shortening cycle time significantly compared to conventional double-arm mixers. The result is a homogenous blend.
Many sizes from 5 to 1,000 gallons working capacity are available along with a selection of horsepower combinations and optional features such as vacuum design, jacketing, control systems and controlled torque coupling.
